Camiguin Island is a small island (about 230
km²), located in the west of Butuan City and the north of Cagayan de Oro in the Bohol Sea
and can be surrounded by motorcycle (on the national "Highway") in less than 2
hours. But don't do that - take your time - there are so many nice places on this island
to be visited. Camiguin Island is a very good place to spend some time and make relaxing
holidays, not only for scuba divers.
Camiguin Island has both cold and hot springs, Camiguin Island has some vulcanos
(Hibok-Hibok, Mt. Vulcan, Mt. Mambaja), waterfalls, the famouse sunken cemetery and more
to see... you also can climb up the Hibok-Hibok vulcano...
Camiguin Island has brown sandy beaches on the north-east to west side and almost rocky
beaches on the other, the south-east side. Very fine, white sand you can find on White
Island, you can easily go there with one of the small boats, it takes only some minutes...
