Mactan Island is located in opposite of Cebu City
across the Mactan Channel and only a 20-minutes drive from Mactan International Airport
(and an about 1 hour flight from Manila).
Mactan Island has some nice sandy beaches and some good diving spots around the islands.
If you stay on Mactan Island, don't forget to visit the Mactan Island Aquarium. The Mactan
Island Aquarium is home of an amazing collection of fascinating and beautiful sea
creatures. Of course, if you are a diver, you have already seen all of this animals in
free nature, but its a good opportunity to show your family, why you are so excited in
scuba diving... the Mactan Island Aquarium is situated in the beach resort area of Mactan
(just ask in your resort, how to go there) and you can get a guided tour of the ocean
exhibits, ending up with the Shark Tank... the unique chance to feed the (small) sharks...
(but don't do that, during your dives...)
